Emberley’s Stage
Mark Adams is a self-taught artist living in Joe
Batt’s Arm, Fogo Island. Although only 16 years of age, Mark already has four
(4) collections of artwork to his credit, most of which portray scenes in
communities on Fogo Island, such as Tilting, Barr’d Islands & Shoal Bay. Mark’s
Preferred medium is acrylic on canvas and says he’s inspired by other artists,
including "Dale Carruthers of Fredericton, New Brunswick, (who) taught me that
you can take artwork seriously and still move on to pursue other goals you have
set." this Painting from his 2004 Summer Festival Collection, called "Emberley’s
stage" is "of a stage owned by a dear friend of our family, says Mark.
