Mark Adams is from Fogo Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, where the land is as rugged as it is endless and beautiful. Having taken no art classes since grade 6, Mark has been exploring painting and drawing on his own since then and has recently extended his interests into photography, writing and acting. Mark is currently studying at UNB, is a feature writer for the Brunswickan and hosts his own website where his artwork is displayed.

"In these works, I have striven to show that where there is also integration, that in the anesthetics of duality lies the realization of synthesis. Exploring the opposing lifestyles of constant leisure and constant work, I have also incorporated changing beauty myths. Although different at first glance, Opposition/Integration, when considered further, join together to show the integration of a well-balanced life."
